First Job? I was a barista at a small cafe/grocery store! I hated it and didn’t even like coffee at the time, but I could walk there from my parent’s house so it was great lol.
Favorite AZ restaurant, venue, or activity and why? I’m obsessed with the new bar at The Scott Hotel. It’s called The Canal Club – they have great drinks but I mainly love their decor and vibe. Feels like you’re in Cuba!
Who is someone that has had a major impact in the person you are today? My dad!
What is your most memorable mistake you have made in your business or career? Waiting too long to fire the terrible client. When I was first starting out, I said yes to almost anyone, but now I’m much more selective with who I work with.
The biggest obstacle you’ve overcome: Quitting my first job out of college without another job lined up. Felt like rock-bottom.
Someone who inspires you and why? Sara Blakely – owner of Spanx! She is a great role-model and entrepreneur. I love how she has fun with everything she does, and that she genuinely makes great products for women.
Favorite quote: “It is not your job to be everything to everyone”
Advice to someone pursuing a career in your field? Get your website, packages, and invoicing system in place before you start doing this full-time. The most you can do while you still have that stable income, the better!
