Britany began her career as a handy woman/ jack of all trades/ will do anything-you-need to make money. This included a service going door to door throughout her neighborhood at 10 years old. “I made flyers to put on doors, and car windshields, and knocked on every neighbors door within a couple of miles of my house to gain business.”
She is greatly inspired by her Mom who Britany says “instilled in me my ‘I can do anything- I can make anything’ attitude. Whenever I would see something I wanted her first response would be ‘we can make that’.”
Her biggest accomplishment in her young career?
“Quitting my steady 9-5 and starting Britany Simon Design House.”

Learning how to run my business on my own, with no mentors or previous design furnishings company experience.
Who inspires you and why?
Kelly Wearstler- runs a fashion brand as well as interior design brand and manages to still be a mother, and exercise and travel.

“I am in competition with no one, I have no desire to play the game of being better than anyone. I am simply trying to be better than the person I was yesterday.”
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do:
Be prepared to start from the bottom and work your way up. Your success in this career is largely dependent upon your expertise and knowledge in what you do, and that expertise only comes with time and hard
work.
