EPISODE 52: Inventing New Medical Technology w/ Vicki Mayo CEO TouchPoint
Vicki Mayo is CEO and co-founder of Scottsdale-based the TouchPoint Solution, a neuroscientific tech company that offers an alternative to medication and traditional stress reduction methods, such as yoga and meditation, with wearable devices that reduce stress in 30 seconds.
Prior to co-founding the TouchPoint, Mayo served as the Arizona’s chief transformation officer and deputy assistant director for the Department of Economic Security. Before that, she got her start in the technology sector where she served as vice president of Valor Global. She also launched her first reservation management business in Sedona at just 14 years old.
Mayo was raised in Sedona by parents who immigrated to the U.S. from India. She later graduated from Northern Arizona University, where she received bachelor’s degrees in hospitality administration and political science. After graduation, Mayo founded the national hotel management company Mayo Hotel Management LLC.
Now, at 33, she has more than 15 years experience in the technology sector, as well as in child welfare and advocacy. Mayo’s goal with the TouchPoint is to make them affordable to those that can afford it and accessible to those who cannot. Since inception, the TouchPoint Solution has more than $1 million in product sales and given away more than 150 TouchPoints via its scholarship program.
